FEATURE UPDATE

Relative Volume Indicator was launched a week ago and now available as one of the data columns.

Relative volume, or RVOL, is an indicator that measures the current volume traded, compared to a specified period. On Stox.io, we set this RVOL period to 14 days.

Many of the top gainers on the day have HIGH RVOL

If you see a stock trading at 2 RVOL, that means it’s trading two times the volume than its average over the last 14 trading days.

Typically the higher the RVOL is, the bigger the range and momentum it can provide. Also extremely high volume means it would be easier for traders to enter and exit with size.

Most momentum traders look to trade stocks with a RVOL of at least 2 or 3+.

FEATURE UPDATE

HTB (hard to borrow) stock guide is available in beta mode

You can now find the brokers that have shares to short, as well as the locate pricing for these hard to borrow stocks on Stox.

If you hover your mouse over the HTB column for each stock, you will see a pop up with all the brokers’ locate pricing.

Short selling is an extremely popular and profitable strategy that many pro traders use. Historically, traders open multiple broker accounts in order to find the best pricing and availability for short locates.

With our brand new HTB feature, you can preview pricing for HTB stock for premium brokers that offer short locates, such as Interactive Brokers, Trade Station, Tradezero, Centerpoint, Cobra Trading and Success Trader.

This feature is still in beta mode. We estimate it should be fully ready in about two weeks. At the moment you will only see HTB info on select small cap stocks.

If you hover your mouse over the HTB column for each stock, you will see a pop up with all the brokers’ locate pricing.

If a stock is ETB instead of HTB, that means it’s free to borrow.
